Little Children

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much!” -Helen Keller

From the shores of lake Kivu, Rwanda Africa to the North in the Philippines, there are a great many children that have captured my heart and aspirations. Many of them don’t make it to adult hood due to the diseases and health hazards presented by the different areas they live in. In Africa so many of the children I met there have gone on before us, they are my inspirations. Children are such a great blessing to each and every family their lives are centered around these bundles of joys. Feb 14, 2017 On the Island of Mindoro in the Philippines, that evening we went to a local dance after a week of work in which we completed 150 surgeries. Arriving at the island dance under the moonless night sky we were invited to celebrate life and love with the natives. The children began whispering in excitement as we walked in, I couldn’t help myself and went over tho them they squealed in delight, learning my name they chanted, “Annie”, soon we were swirling about the grassy floor. That moment was filled with joy as I made new friends little ones who are precious. To know we can bring change to these little ones is worth every moment! IMG_5268
