My bags are packed all travel plans are finalized! Finally the small calm before the wondrous storm of grace that begins tomorrow. God has called and so it is time to pursue that marvelous plan of providence! Just two months ago I was here in Manila for missions and here again I find myself! Listening to that strong calm voice of leading only the Lord can use to direct. This time with a prospective medical student. God’s timing is incredible and from it I grow more and more. My heart is brimming with anticipation to return to the island that called out my heart and taught me so much just a little over a year ago! Tomorrow we head to the interior truly a new sort of missional experience is ahead. Our home will be our hammocks and our water will come from the river and our food will be whatever the tribe can spare: frogs, monkeys, snakes or lizards are all possibilities so I have been told:) pray for us and for great understanding with the people and culture! I think of all the missionaries I know and those that have blazed the trial ahead of me, and I smile because God is letting me take baby steps so that I can follow their example. There is so much to praise His name for, prayer time tonight was overwhelming and intense looking at the majesty of my great and awesome God!
