Maps

There we were between patients in the Operating room, everything was ready the calm before the storm. Someone had a blanket for the patient taking a closer look, it was a map of North America. Gathering around everyone began pointing to where they lived, some from the states, and others from Canada. In a room that is not always calm and quiet, we carried on discussing home. It was probably one of my favorite moments on the trip to Bolivia and made me realized just how spread out most of us were by land, states, borders, water etc. Yet in that same thought how close we were in that room. The bond that is created on these trips with fellow team members goes far beyond what one can see with the eye. God moves in and takes over, we might not have one single thing in common outside of the clinic or operating room yet that will never matter as I believe God takes our hearts and minds captive to honor Him in every way with our team members I can only think of when Christ’s says, “by your love for one another they will know you are my disciples.” A picture is worth a thousand words or perhaps just a few thousand more like in this one, such an incredible moment in time.
